Hey ppl, i started guitar lessons a few weeks ago, and started on scales now……. and i was wondering when you busy picking down with the certain notes, when you get to the 6th string you do the notes backwards..should you first put all the fingers on the notes you are going to play and just pick the note then release the finger or just place your fingers as you go?

Place your fingers as you go. Setting yourself up before you pick is fine, but later down the road when you get to blues scales and pentatonic scales and you wanna improv solos you won’t be setting your fingers up. Get used to placing your fingers as you go and you will be better at the later scales.
