Guitar Lessons?? Classical or Acoustic?
Hi. I’m thinking of getting Guitar lessons.
If I learn playing the guitar by myself, will it be harder than getting lessons? What type of guitar should I start with? Classical or Acoustic?

Lessons by far get you seeing results faster than teaching yourself.
But…finding a good guitar teacher is the #1 problem. See, guitar teachers (or any other private music teacher) are not licensed so anyone can be a teacher. Watch out for the teachers that sound too good to be true (ie. has 1,000 students and charges $2,000 a month). That was an exaggeration but you get my point.
I learned how to find a good guitar teacher the hard way. I went through two (yes, you read that right), before finding the one I’ve currently had for the past four years. (And you know what’s funny? My current teacher has two students who used to take lessons from one of my old teachers, he told me). That’s saying something.
Just be on the lookout and ask any new guitar teacher questions (I asked my teachers how many students they had, and that number either made me stay with that teacher or drop him/her). Oh, the best place to look for a guitar teacher is at any music store (most of the time). More often than not they will have teachers-who are not store employees-giving lessons. I found my current teacher this way.
Anyway, enough of my lecture.
I started out on acoustic and it helped my fingers build their strength and such.
