Standard Grade Music Composition?

Uh okay im looking for opinions. I’m In 4th year at High School (GCSE level) and i’m required to compose a song for Music class. Im a drummer and have little melodic knowledge. I was told i should write a funk piece as i have a friend who plays Bass Guitar well, so thought id write a 4/4 Drum ‘n’ Bass piece. I get graded out of ten in 4 areas — Melody, Rhythm, Form and Musicianship i think. (That last one might be wrong.) My Rhythm area is expected to be my best one. What should i do? (Just to clarify, i dont want anyone to write it for me, or lecture me on doing it myself, just some opinions on style of music and such. Anything is welcome)
